Underneath the starry skies
a young soul sits alone
lost and confused the soul sits and waits
for what? we do not know
But even so the soul waits on

Night after night the soul keeps waiting
wishing on ever star
begging for them to let it see
what its waited for, for so long

But his wishes are never answered
for like the words in ancient texts
Night slowly fades to dawn
and the soul now a lingering soldier
prepares tto wait yet another day
