Man can't get over it.
Am I wrong to dream of true love?
And am I wrong to let my life
depend on the one who cheated on me?
Sometimes I wish I never carried on with you
other times, I couldn't bare to live without you -
and I begin to find truth
in the old saying about living with women.
It's
all
because I can't get over what happened.
Like getting stabbed with a blunt knife -
it doesn't fit in with my model of true love,
and zero tolerance for all else.
I just want one true love
and nothing else
but the first word in the phrase
can only take one bullet
like a brand new car gone old
upon the second it's signed off.
Like getting stabbed in the heart with a blunt knife
I'm dying but never dead.
And time twists the knife.
Into my
undignified life.
