The Perfect Night.
We watched the storm brew up
Felt the wind on our faces
My head rested on your chest
One of my favorite places
Your arms wrapped around me
Warming up my goose bumped arms
In this moment I am happy
Feeling safe from any harm.
We heard the thunder roar
We saw the striking lightning
And as the wind picked up
It should've felt more frightening
But you stayed holding me
Nothing else could feel this right
It seems as if we're glowing
Brightening up the dimmest light.
Your hand is locked in mine
There's no way I'll let it loose
Wondering when to leave this
There's just no good excuse
I'm still just laying here
I don't want to go inside
Nothing could be better
Everything's perfect tonight.
