Telluride Vacation.
From adventurous skiing, to romantic getaways, Telluride is a great romance destination.
When many think of Telluride, the first thing that comes to mind is skiing. However, there are many other features of Telluride that make it a trip for a great romantic getaway!
The San Juan mountain range is beautiful, whether you're blasting down it on a board or a pair of skis, or simply taking it all in in a romantic gondola ride or fireside at one of Telluride's many romantic restaurants.
Telluride is a great romantic vacation destination year-round. Telluride hosts two festivals every year; a film festival every Spetember, and a Bluegrass music festival in June. Telluride also boasts world class hiking trails (for that quiet picnic far from civilization), and bike trails for everyone from the casual peddler to the world class mountain bikers!
There is horseback riding, for those wishing to ride off into the sunset together, or recreate the days of Butch Cassidy (he was a fixture of early Telluride).
The San Sophia Inn, The Inn at Lost Creek, and the Hotel Telluride are romantic spots that are great during the warmer months, as well as peak season. The Inn at Lost Creek even has two rooftop hot tubs, which can be reserved ahead of time for complete privacy and a can make for a very romantic evening!
Just make sure you get your Telluride reservation early if you're going during ski season!
Telluride also has the Colorado's longest free falling waterfall- which makes for a great romantic spot. The falls are 425 feet tall, and empty into the San Miguel river, is walking distance from Colorado Avenue.
